Known to his friends and customers as “The Mensch with the Wrench,” Jack Bulko founded AutoAid in 1979 when his son David, now a partner at AutoAid, was a one-year-old child. Since day one, Jack has been driven by delivering a unique and personalized service to his clients. He initially started with a 24/7 mobile mechanic service. Today, AutoAid is a full-service, family-owned and operated mechanic shop that has serviced and repaired thousands of vehicles in the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas.

With a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the City University of New York, Jack, along with his son David, brings a smart, personalized, and conscientious approach to serving the automotive needs of individuals, families, and businesses.

Over the years, Jack has always put the community first – from taking exceptional care of his customers to giving back to the different organizations designed to help people prosper in the San Fernando Valley. As everyone’s favorite Mensch with the Wrench has grown wiser with years, Jack has focused on ensuring that the legacy his family has created with AutoAid is kept in trustworthy hands.

Jack’s son, David, manages AutoAid’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that every customer receives exceptional service. Jack and David work so well together and have such a similar philosophy that they are both now known as The Mensch with the Wrench.
