AutoAid is great. I had been going to another mechanic for years and he only ever did the least necessary. On a recommendation from a friend I brought my car in for an oil change. The did the oil change and a full inspection and discovered everything the last guy had simply never bothered to look at. Their recommendations for service all came with photo or video documentation so I could see exactly what was going on. They gave me a clear picture of what was urgent, what needs looking at soon and what can wait. That allowed me to make a plan to get things fixed on a schedule that works for my budget. The team is thorough and service minded. I was treated very well. I will send all my friends here and will continue to bring my car here for all its needs as long as I am in Southern Cal.Posted on Google

Mike M18 days agoI went to AutiAid today for an AC diagnostic test. The team was thorough and professional but it was the owner, David who really made my visit great. He was extremely helpful and empathetic on what is the hottest day of the year (not great timing for an AC issue). David did right by me and we spent nearly half an hour just talking about family and growing up in the area. A rare experience in today's world with an extraordinary owner.Posted on Google

Sharlene M39 days agoBefore moving to LA most of the service done on my car was by a trusted family friend. After moving here I was so happy to find Autoaid. They treat me like I’m a friend and their service is impeccable. Update: I am still as satisfied Customer several years later. I bought a new car three years ago and much rather go to Autoaid for service, then to the dealership. They are courteous, kind, and transparent about repairs that might be needed. Jaxy B147 days agoI used to have a 2004 Toyota Corolla, which was a bit…cranky. AutoAid took great care of it, keeping it going even when it didn’t want to. Now they’re taking fantastic care of my 2023 Subaru Outback. Car is always happier after its checkup. Plus, they’re friendly, efficient and always take me home and pick me up. Teryne D179 days agoI always have a good experience at Auto Aid. Everyone is kind and helpful, and since I have been going to them for many years, I know how honest they are. I have complete confidence they will do the work that needs to be done well, and won't try to sell me what I don't need. I take my Prius there regularly and wish I had known earlier that they work on hybrid cars. I thought I had to go to the dealer and had so many expensive and unnecessary services done. Apple A217 days agoWell I have a long story but I’ll cut it short. I brought in my Lexus GS 350 because it had an issue with the brakes. They were too loud for a long time and every time I took them to a place to get them fixed ,they weren’t even at the Lexus dealership no help…so then I tried auto aid!!! I’m so glad I did!!! First of all the guys there are all nice and sweet but David and Lupe have my heart!!! Lol. My car was fixed first time but the noise was still there so I had to take it back and they took it to look again and this went on for like 3X. The 4th time they took the car was the last time…they had to throughly check my car and were finally able to discover the issue. They charged me just one time and the other times they just took the car and made sure they resolved the issue it had since it was being big headed lol. It’s been almost a month of me driving it now without any noise!!! They did fix it and I can’t thank them enough!!! Thank You David And Your Crew…I’ll definitely Recommend.Posted on Google

Loretta B255 days agoWhen my car broke down at the end of the day. Steve worked with me to get the car to him and arranged a rental car with minutes to spare. Although, the repair needed was not as bad as they quoted. They said my main ecm was bad and needed replacement and wanted over a thousand dollars. I obtain a second opinion and the ecm was not bad just needed to be rebooted and only cost 625.00 for ecm rebooted, new spark plugs, injectors cleaned, new rooters, oil change and fixed my head light . Diagnosed the issue which was exactly what I had read about on line, so no surprises there. Some delays getting the work done as the Hyundai dealer delivered the wrong part twice, so Lupe himself drove to Mission Hills dealer to make sure the right part was gotten. Professional all around,. Lupe is great as well as John, Christian and David. Have a neighbor with a Volkswagen issue and I will definitely refer them to AutoAidPosted on Google

Jeffrey J582 days agoI've been going to AutoAid for a couple years now and I've always found them to be very honest, nice/kind and fairly/reasonably priced (i.e., not the cheapest but not the most expensive). I think what won me over was the first time I brought my car to them, they had two opportunities to cheat me, but didn't. Specifically in one case, they noted my tires needed replacing, but they said that only 3 of them need replacing as the 4th was in really good condition. They could have easily just said all 4 need replacing, but only recommended the 3, so I appreciated the honesty. Recently, I took my Civic for AC servicing and an oil change and the process was as smooth as always. Very random, but I love the online system they use. You get to see all the notes made about the cars, they sometimes upload photos, etc. Keep up the good work!Posted on Yelp

Sebastian S741 days agoThis is, without a doubt, the best mechanic I've ever worked with. From our experience, they were incredibly honest and thorough, making a huge difference when we were buying a used truck. Despite their busy schedule, they managed to fit us in for an inspection. In just an hour and a half, they identified everything we needed to know about the truck's condition. We were so impressed that we decided to buy the truck and left it with them for a few days to handle the necessary repairs. Even though we live 25 miles away, it was well worth the trip. This is the only mechanic we will be using from now on to work on our new 2005 Tacoma. Thank you, David, John, Lupe, and Christian. Y'all were incredibly helpful and amazing. Sharlene M763 days agoI moved to Los Angeles nine years ago and had no idea who to have service my car. One of my colleagues recommended AutoAid and it was one of the best recommendations I ever received. The entire staff is wonderful! Everyone I've encountered was courteous, friendly, and courteous. They have never talked down to me. I trust them. They serviced my two previous cars. Then, last year, after an accident totaled my 2014 Camry, I purchased a new car, which I've had serviced at the dealer because I have Toyota Care. The dealer is not as courteous or welcoming as the guys at AutoAid though. My tire pressure light was on and I went to the dealership twice and was turned away twice, even though I was told I did not need an appointment when I called. After being told I'd have to leave my car overnight for them to check the tire pressure, I decided I'd go back to AutoAid. They took my car in immediately and resolved the issue. I'm going to try to get my Toyota Care routine service transferred to them. And if I cannot, I'll pay out of pocket for it. It's worth it to be treated with respect. John, Christian & Lupe are all very very polite and unegotistical you clearly get the feeling they are only concerned with making sure the clients/customers feeling good about entrusting their cars to them. Teresa M864 days agoMy car was serviced for an oil change plus maintenance inspection. I am extremely pleased with the work and recommendations made by the auto tech. I've always had my car serviced at the dealer and found out my air filter wasn't even securely bolted on! My cabin filter was basically disintegrating even though the dealer stated it was replaced. Ezra B899 days agoVery helpful guys, I went in to get AC fixed, they tested it and let me know there were areas it was leaking. They looked up the parts and discovered there was a factory recall on them, so they printed out the necessary paperwork I needed to bring in to the dealership and get the parts replaced by Honda for free. John is absolutely amazing and has been fantastic to work with. He has always accommodated me with all of my cars that I get serviced at Autoaide . To say that John goes beyond and above his way to help customers is an understatement. He's also extremely knowledgeable and has been very helpful in helping restore my Porsche Boxster that I purchased in 2023 . I recently took in my old truck because it failed the smog test. I have two vehicles, but had become leery of driving the truck as, the rare times I did, it was pretty wonky and felt like I might get stranded somewhere. I took it to AutoAid to see if they could get it to pass, planning to sell it, if I could. The repairs cost more than I wanted to spend and required a new catalytic converter, but not only did it pass the test, it now drives like it did when a much younger vehicle. I am no longer afraid to drive it. As an added plus I got an education on a proper asking price from John, which I had no idea about. Richard W1165 days agoHands-down the best repair shop that I've ever been to. I had a popped tire and a nearly obliterated ran. Not to mention the fact that my ABS cables were completely destroyed. Not only did they get me parts on my budget and repair my auto brake system, but they did it in a timely fashion and in a creative way that was unique to the circumstances that I am in. The first time I took my car here It was still under warranty and they actually suggested I take my vehicle to the dealer so that I could benefit from the warranty. They always give you the information you need to make an informed decision about your car. I really appreciated that transparency and so I came back. David and John are both so polite and helpful, I felt like I could trust them and they were so responsive. They looked for better deals on the parts I needed and helped get my total down. they were also very understanding when I had to pay with all my loose tip money from serving tables. Mark S1684 days agoI've heard nothing but good things about these guys, and the time was here finally to give them a try for myself. Well it was even better then I imagined! This was one of my best experience ever at a mechanic. Usually you go and at the mercy of what they tell you. David one of the owners was so helpful, and I received the most thorough report on my car ever! I found someone who I trust which some times is hard now a days! Dorothea S1724 days agoBought a "new to me" used car. Took it to Auto Aid for the smog test and to introduce the car to the Auto Aid Team since they will be doing any service on the call. I've ben using them since I moved to the Valley nearly 25 years ago. They are fair and trustworthy. And great people!!Posted on Yelp
Jordyn L1725 days agoAuto Aid is absolutely superior! I came here after I had a terrible experience with my local dealership service and Auto Aid took better care of me than the actual dealership that sold me my car. Everyone on the staff is insanely friendly and you can tell they're really good, positive people. It's so easy for women to be taken advantage of in the car space and I can say that I 100% trust Auto Aid to always be honest and never try to falsely upsell me. I've had my car serviced here twice so far and I plan to continue coming here as long as I stay on the area. I've never had to use their waiting area but its important to note that it's always very clean and well taken care of. Most mom-and-pop car service centers have dingy waiting rooms that are super uncomfortable to hangout in. Auto Aid really takes care of that area and that shows that they invest in a good customer experience, which is something I really appreciate- even though I don't typically use those spaces. Overall, I have been really happy with my experience here and highly recommend giving them a try!Posted on YelpJaelline J1753 days agoAutoAid is my go-to for all things related to service of my cars (current and past). They are efficient, and provide excellent service to vehicles and also people. I greatly appreciate the ride home while my car is being serviced, and the ride back when done. Their office environment is welcoming to someone wanting a cup of coffee, to little kids, and to pets. Dena G1759 days agoI found Auto Aid after my car dealership's service department quoted me an $8,000 repair. My Subaru had a busted hose, which the dealership repaired, followed by the $8,000 repair quote and a recommendation that the engine be removed and taken apart because of coolant and oil mixing. My car has only 70,000 miles on it and runs fine. A second opinion was definitely warranted. Auto Aid was great. Dave was polite on the phone, stayed within the time promised for a detailed diagnostic, gave my car two test drives after the diagnostic, and explained what he thought the issue might be. The cost of the diagnostic was reasonable. As it stands, he did not see anything that warranted a serious repair or engine work. Just so I would know, he also ran a quote of exactly the repair that the dealership recommended: $4,200 as opposed to $8,000. However, Dave did not see anything indicating such a repair was needed. I took my other Subaru to Auto Aid for rear brakes ($100 less than the dealership) and an oil change. Great service, fair prices, nice people, rides given for local customers, and a cute waiting room with free wifi. Everyone here is nice, communicative, and they do great, fair work. They walk you through what needs to be done (when I had to save money they helped me carefully prioritize which repairs were needed right away, and which could wait a little longer which I really appreciated.) Been going here for close to 7 years now! They're kind and they do great work. Can't ask for anything more.Posted on Yelp

Enny •1839 days agoI don't ever have time for reviews, but these guys more than deserve it. I came in and told the clerk I was moving to TX later that week, wanted to know if my car was good for the trip (If you're in sales, you just heard "I have 0 return potential regardless of your service quality today. Make as much off me as you can, then get me out the door"). They treated me like family, had answers for all my dumb questions, drove me home to wait for my COURTESY inspection (100% could've charged for diagnostics, I asked for a full check). Within an hour, they texted me any concerns w/ pics for context, and told me I forgot my wallet (which had oh idk ~$500 in loose bills?), and my passport on the back seat floor. Told me what was necessary to fix for the trip, and what I could put off (again, fully aware they wouldn't get any business they didn't take that day). After I confirmed everything, they fixed it all in a couple hours. From hello, to driving off the lot, all in one afternoon. I'm not exaggerating. I've maybe wrote 1 other review for a business my entire life (I'm 30). I support people who do their job because they care about it, not because it makes them money. I believe that's what I saw that day. Only my luck that i found this place THE WEEK I MOVED TO TX. Thanks for getting me here safe gentlemen.Posted on Facebook
Annie C2648 days agoI have known Jack for many years and have Auto Aid on Erwin take care of all my auto needs my car was due for a service so I took it to their new larger location on Vanowen/ Kester. I was greeted by the smiling face of Jack and received the same excellent service I have enjoyed over the years. Needless to say I highly recommend Auto Aid for all your car work.Posted on Facebook

The bodywork and paint is excellent, and the mechanical repairs were done with expert diagnosis and repair. Mark W3248 days agoYet another wonderful experience at AutoAid. I brought my car in and David got in the car with me for a quick ride so he could hear the squeaks and noises the car was making. While the car was being serviced, I broke out my laptop and used their wifi. Very comfy there. Squeaks Gone. Rattles Gone. Oil Change Done. Headlight lenses polished...and it all cost less than I had expected. Overall, a GREAT experience. It's a 30 min drive from my home, and I pass maybe 20-30 other repair shops along the way...but I won't take my car anywhere else. HIGHLY recommended.Posted on Facebook

Robert B3619 days agoAutoaid saved the day (or night) imagine it's 6pm and your check engine lights goes on! I called expecting to leave a message, yet to my surprise Jack answers the call, immediately turns himself around being almost home; reopens his shop writes up my service and get this... GAVE ME HIS PERSONAL CAR so I could get to work the next morning! Thank you Jack you are truly the mensch with the wrench!Load more
