On Mon 11/1/21 I took my 2013 NIssan Rogue to Auto Aid for 75k service. Doug the Tech called me on Mon afternoon to discuss with me the front control arms needed to be replaced. I ok'd the front end work. Doug then proceeded to try to upsell me on tires and new battery. He claimed my battery showed it was purchased in 2014. The battery was purchased in 2016. Doug lied about the date on the battery--just to sell me a battery--I told him NO!!. Then he wanted to sell me tires which again I said NO!!!Next it was the cabin filter--this filter was changed 2 months agoHe could not understand why I did not want these products from Auto Aid. Apparently Doug must think women are dumb when it comes to cars.Doug told me that my car would be ready Tues at 4pm--I ended up calling Auto Aid. Doug tells me that the work was done but not the alignment. My car was supposed to be ready on Tues 11/2/21 at 4pm. At 3:30pm I called only for Doug to tell me its not ready. Doug does not keep his word on calling a customer.- Poor communication skills He then says, "I WILL CALL YOU Weds Morn.. You do know that the alignment shop is busy!!!" Well guess what I was without my car for 3 days since Doug was sOOO Slow getting the work done on my car. I ended up calling Auto Aid on Wed--11/3/21 at 8:15am. My car was ready. Needless to say Doug does not call customers to give updates on what is going on and he is very RUDE!!!!. He lacks people skills and should work at a job where he doesn't have to talk to people. I am surprised that he hasn't been written up or Fired. He gives horrible service and its not right that he does upselling. By his doing this tactic, it makes Auto Aid look like a sleazy operation. Hope Doug will desist this tactic. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Auto Aid. I have an excellent mechanic in Burbank who saves the old parts, discusses with me why the parts were replaced and answers any questions I might have.
Hi Georgia, Thank you for your feedback. We take our work and your safety very seriously at AutoAid. Our inspection of your vehicle revealed several areas of concern. We e-mail or text a complete color coded inspection with pictures of the areas on your vehicle that need attention. It's our responsibility to inform and yours to decide. For example, we sent you an image of the battery test results that read 470 amps under a load when your battery is rated at 640 Amps. A substantial difference that could present a starting problem in the future. We might have made a mistake on the production date of the battery but never the less it is still almost six years old. We don't want you to get stuck unexpectedly. I am sorry you were upset. Drive Safe.
