Jack Bulko, known as the "Mensch with the wrench," is always looking for ways to help the community. Jack Bulko, known to his friends and customers as "The Mensch with the Wrench," founded AutoAid in 1979. Since then, he and his family-owned and operated mechanic shop have serviced and repaired thousands of vehicles in Van Nuys. Over the years, Jack has always put the community first - from taking exceptional care of his customers, to giving back to the different organizations designed to help people prosper in the San Fernando Valley.

It’s no secret that Jack has been given the nickname The Mensch with the Wrench. It’s a moniker he’s proud to have earned. Mensch is a Yiddish word that means “a person of integrity and honor”. It’s a perfect description of how Jack lives his life, built his business and raised his family.
An active member of five Chambers of Commerce in and around SFV, Jack financially supports community causes and donates a considerable amount of his time to ensuring that people have access to the tools and services they need. This includes contributions to local chambers; his role as an Ambassador for multiple Chambers and his seminars for local business owners on the importance of networking. You’ll also find him volunteering at community fairs, like the Calabasas Pumpkin Festival and the Taste of Encino Street Fair.
