Finding a mechanic you can trust is worth its weight in gold. In the past I'd look for a shop near me for any repair work I'd need, but I never really knew the people in the shop. Once I found Auto Aid I stopped looking around. It is SO nice to go into the shop and have the people know you personally. It's clean, comfortable and they really take care of you (and your car). I'm not a woman, but I know they're certified female friendly. I've actually seen the owner, Jack, go into their bathroom to put the seat down! They take their certification seriously.I usually wait there for an oil change, but when it's a larger job, they've taken me back to work and picked me up. These guys know what they're doing. I'm not taking my car anywhere else.

This was my first time to Auto Aid. They were extremely thorough and helpful. I did not feel the slightest bit taken advantage of as I usually do at auto shops. They even made dropping off my car and getting back to it, extremely easily. I will be taking my car there for now on. Forget the dealership!

Found this one as I was searching for another car repair shop through Yelp, and the reviews looked pretty stellar and real. I moved down here ten years ago from Seattle and I've never found one car repair shop that I liked. From one chain not fixing the right stuff to another chain with employees disagreeing whether or not I needed a new air filter and then telling me that my wiper fluid mechanism was busted before I left and it worked just fine. Went to one place when I first moved here on Highland with a coupon for an oil change, and they poked a hole in my radiator and brought me in to see how it was leaking like Niagra falls. Didn't report them because I thought the Russian mofia might come nockin. So anyway it got me to thinking that the mom and pop shops might be better because these chains have constant pressure to perform year in and year out, therefore pushing you into stuff you might or might not need.So anyhow, I schedule an appointment, because my steering wheel has been shaking lately on the freeway. I go in there around 8am and park on the side to make sure my first impressions are good before I let some stranger start messing with my ride. Shop looked clean just like the website and then a gentleman comes around the corner to greet me, the owner's son David. HIs demeanor was warm and welcoming. Got a good vibe from this guy ride at the get go; and no shady vibe at all.Said that it would be around and hour and half before they could test in on the highway which makes perfect sense. David asked me if I needed a ride. Woh, this was like Enterprise, I was pleasantly surprised since this was going to be about 4 hours. If I wouldn't have stayed though they had some type of mechanic tv on and about 25 magazines to pass the time. I also liked how the way it's set up that you can easily see you car from the office or just outside of it, in case your a nervous nelly like myself. Grabbed a cup of their coffee and for office coffee it wasn't bad. (best office coffee at the Hyandai dealer on Van Nuys, white chocolate and stuff, I know cuz the wife bought a car there)So got a ride, and got a call a short time later, that they needed the key for my gas cap, because I was low on gas; luckily I had an extra one in the car. Think they might of put in some gass and not even charged me. Brownie points.Anyhoo, get a call about how my tires were overinflated and needed balancing, needed new air filter, and a couple of brake lights. New that it was about time for the air filter, not sure about the break lights, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.David picks me up later in the day, (good conversationalist by the way), and my car is ready to go.Printed out the first time customer coupon that saved me $25.00. Gave me no beef about the coupon, not even a sigh. The rest of the staff seemed pretty upbeat so I assume the staff is treated well.To make a short story long, I walked out of there spending less than I thought which is the opposite of my experience at most auto repair facilities. The website underpromised, and they overdelivered. Don't believe check out their trophies from AAA with 100% customer satisfaction in 2010. Pretty impressive.Maybe they'll get me next time, but I don't think so. For the city voted "most rude" these guys were nothing but class and honesty.WOW.

Jack, David and the team at AutoAid are the BEST when it comes to auto mechanics. I was referred to them by others who had used them. We needed to get my husband's car serviced as all the electronics on the passenger's side were not working. It had happened once before back East. Jack's team were able to find the electrical problem and fix it. They then serviced my car for its 35000 mile check up and oil change. then my son's car had some major noise issues, we took the car to Jack and his team went to work and got the issues resolved. We found Jack and David to be very honest, knowledgeable, and respectful. They kept us informed about what they found that needed work. When I asked for some things to be done to my car, they wrote it down and later called me to tell what on my request list did not need to be done! WOW never have I had a mechanic tell me that something doesn't need to be done! After working with them I can see why they are certified female friendly, and why they have their AAA rating. If you are looking for a mechanic to give you an honest assessment with your car's troubles and good pricing then you need to call AutoAid.
