After 31 years in business I discovered very unusual tire damage to low profile tires that looks like an elongated cut to the sidewall which occurs from the inside of the tire. Apparently, if these tires are under inflated, the inside of the wheel (rim) starts to eat away at the sidewall from the inside and eventually ruptrues the tire. Most low profile tires are very expensive because they go no sports and high end cars or vehicles with lots of bling. This is a perfect reason to have the tire pressure checked on your vehicle regularly regardless of the tire profile.
